"Forever is composed of now's"
Emily is saying that every future moment will be a present moment which is now and forever will always be now and now is then
"That it will never come again is what makes life so sweet"
This poem means that believing what had happened will never in life come to you again and it would be the best because you won't have to experience it again.
"If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain"
Means that if Emily will not focus on her past because if she does her life and heart will dwell the meaning of breaking one's heart

Which means that she been broken into ways that she doesn't like but she hope it shapes her into a better person because of the way she was broken

During life how much can someone take and how much power do they have to get through things that's occurring, and being at the breaking point wondering how long will it last
"Whenever a thing is done for the first time, it releases a little demon"
When things happen for the first time it doesn't always go good and things tends to turn out wrong for the first time, since it's the first time it doesn't goes as planned
"To shut your eyes is to travel"
Exploring your mind that helps you unlock a deeper thinking and it leads you through a passage to a imagination

It's the understanding of Emily life with her overcoming things and letting people open up to her or her opening up to them
"Till I loved I never liked enough"
Emily loved but no one seemed to like her enough, she feels as if she loved to much and nobody loved her as she loved them, and that she loved everyone enough but they like her as much
